In the light of day

Ready-made pond, complete with reflections

This is the water on the pool tarpaulin, part way through being syphoned off.

You can see how much it’s gone down already from the black/grey tideline.

Clive reckons several thousand gallons of water came off via the hose, which was running for 5 or 6 hours.

Yes, isn’t it? It’s the first time I’ve syphoned the water off since putting the tarpaulin on so it represents all the rain over that period, but it surprised me all the same.

We placed to 35 gal barrels out to collect water when we had Hurricane Sandy blow through and very quickly they were overflowing 🙂
