Crazy flowers

November blooms

November blooms

Thunderstorms and torrential rain, and now below-freezing temperatures at night.

This is November.

Nonetheless, here and there a wallflower is in bloom.

My husband is flying to Italy today (Reggio Emilia) so we chequed the weather there and it is exactly as it is over here…..not the better weather he had hoped for.

Sunshine in Italy is a bit of a myth.

We thought for a long time that the weather in Italy and Spain were about the same untill a few years ago :D. We have been in Italy a couple of times in Summer and that was good !

      • November 14, 2016 at 8:39 pm

We had virtually no summer at all this year, but other years it has been splendid.

The weather is behaving very odd all over the world apparently. The world is definitely warming up but we can’t feel that in Belgium 😀

      • November 14, 2016 at 8:44 pm

Apparently global warming just means climate change – that’s certainly happening! That and earthquakes.

Have you heard about the big earthquake in New Zealand today ? Have the quakes stopped in Italy now or do you still get little aftershocks ?

      • November 15, 2016 at 10:14 pm

Yes, I did hear about New Zealand – that was a high magnitude. We’re still getting aftershocks in Italy. If you’d like to see about somewhere very beautiful that has been totally (and maybe permanently) evacuated because of the earthquake, look up Castelluccio di Norcia. The ground level there dropped 2 feet.

I will thanks. I feel so sorry for all these people who lost their homes…..

If you look up Castelluccio in the index of this blog, you can see some pictures of the views and flowers there.

I just saw the pictures of Castellucia di Norcia, the ones before the quake and the ones after the quake, what a mess and what a shame for this sweet pictoresque village !!!! it was sooo beautiful !
