Hopping mad?

Two odd shoes

It wouldn’t do any harm if our neighbours were actually hopping mad with Kepler for stealing two more odd shoes.

As far as I know, from what the neighbours themselves say and from the smell of woodsmoke on Kepler’s fur, he spends all day on their sofa in front of a roaring log fire.

When I phoned to report the arrival of the shoes our end, I was greeted with a roar of laughter. It does however seem that the trainer (which looks almost new) might have some value because apparently it will be collected from us at some point.

No, they’re definitely not hopping mad. But whoever it is in their household who wears size 36 shoes and leaves them lying about – they’ll be hopping, for sure!
